Our mission to change the world and help others begins in the fairness and transparency of our own company in Kabul. You will be pleasantly surprised to enter in conversation with the Kandahar Foundation team.
Our model includes educational, academic, residential, health, social and enrichment programs. The Kandahar Foundation nurtures positive contact with families and community leaders, thereby strengthening students’ support structures and surrounding communities.
Afghanistan is probably the only poorest country in the world that doesn’t need any introduction. Due to the decades of war and nearly complete lack of foreign investment, the average income of an Afghan is less than $1 per day and average life expectancy is lower than 50 years. Estimated seven million people remain susceptible to hunger. Afghanistan has a high infant mortality rate of 152 deaths per 1,000 live births. Less than twenty one per cent of Afghan women have any formal education and in rural areas, only 1 in 100 girls attend school.
The international community will need to support Afghanistan, as the country is still facing a serious humanitarian situation, the result of both natural disasters and ongoing conflict.
The Kandahar Foundation is looking to resolve the root causes of the problems by providing financial resources at the center of its involvement in Afghanistan, in collaboration with the Afghan government. Especially the conflict-affected areas like the south or the southeast of the country are virtually no-go zones, and information on the scope of needs is vague at best.

Worsening security in Afghanistan is pushing up the need for humanitarian help while increasing risks for aid workers. Growing conflict linked to a Taliban-led insurgency has also put more places out of bounds for humanitarian groups.
As one can see, it doesn’t look very bright from a humanitarian point of view .The reading of the situation is actually that humanitarian needs are growing after several years of humanitarian work.Refugees returning from Iran and Pakistan are among the most vulnerable with few having land or jobs.
As a result, the Kandahar Foundation’s aim is to positively train and assist Afghan citizens who have been so badly affected decades of war, and help them to grow into strong, productive, and thoughtful members of society.
